Bachelor of Science-Forestry [BSc.(Hons.) Forestry]

                       BSc Forestry is an BSc undergraduate degree course suitable for plus two Science students after clearing KEAM entrance.This course have a duration of 4 years ,including one semester of Compulsory rotating internship.Forests are a rich source of natural resources like animals,birds,trees,medicinal plants etc .Proper conservation of our forest is very essential for our existence as well us wellbeing.Forests contributes a lot to our economy.But now our forests are facing a lot of challenges like pollution, soil erosion, theft, deforestation,extinction of wildlife,natural disasters,global warming etc.Thus forestry professionals are required to replenish our forests and rejuvenate it. BSc Forestry deals with this management and care of forests.

                 There are a lot of job opportunities for forestry graduates and postgraduates in  Private and Public Sector Organizations, Forest based Industries, Research and Consultancy Industries, Development Organizations, NGOs, etc. You can  join Indian forest services after clearing UPSC exam. Corporate houses involved in timber plantations also need the services of Forestry graduates.There are job opportunities in  Botanical and Zoological parts, Wildlife sanctuaries and National parks. Other job options available to Forestry graduates are still photography, film making and wildlife journalism. Television channels like Discovery and National Geographic channels too recruit skilled professionals in forestry. For those having post graduation and Ph.D. Teaching in Forestry is a good career option.
