Engineering Branches at ACE College

As we have discussed earlier, the five branches available at ACE College of Engineering are
  •  Mechanical Engineering
  •  Civil Engineering
  •  Aeronautical Engineering
  •  Electrical and Electronics Engg.
  •  Electronics and Communication Engg.

We will now discuss the scope of these branches in detail..

   Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical engineering is an ‘evergreen’ ‘core’ branch of engineering. The reason for calling it an evergreen branch is that the scope of this branch is always bright irrespective of a particular period. Mechanical Engineering is a vast subject and it has wide area of applications in the industry. Students interested in machines, it’s functioning, repairing troubles of machines and having an inclination towards this subject can very well choose this branch of Engineering. Mechanical Engineering has got a lot of job opportunities in India as well as abroad. The concepts learned in this subject like mechanics, thermodynamics, robotics, kinematics, structural analysis, fluid mechanics etc.  are applied in the process of designing of manufacturing units, different types of motor vehicles, aircraft and aerospace parts in various industrial machinery. Mechanical engineers play a crucial role in the development of engines, power plants etc. and in testing, manufacturing and maintenance of new mechanical systems.
Mechanical engineers can find good jobs in huge industries like automobiles, space research, aeronautical, energy and utilities, air conditioning, bio-mechanical industries, giant manufacturing plants, air conditioning and refrigeration industry, turbine manufacturing plants, oil and gas exploration, refining industries etc. In public sector companies also mechanical engineers are in great demand provided they qualify the various government tests. Those who have flair for teaching can become Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering after doing M.Tech. Doing Ph.D. gives a very good exposure in your research area.
