 Bachelor of Science-Agriculture [BSc.(Hons.) Agri.]

                      BSc Agriculture is an undergraduate degree course suitable for plus two Science students after clearing Medical entrance.This course have a duration of 4 years ,including one semester of Compulsory rotating internship.Agriculture belongs to  the primary sectors of Indian economy and contribute to a major share of our country’s income.So Agriculture is a field of huge scope for exploration by professionals trained in it. The BSc Agriculture course covers all aspects of agriculture like agronomy, cultivation of crops and soil science, understanding natural resources and management etc.
                  Those with a degree or postgraduate degree in Agriculture can find jobs in agricultural research and development institutions, agri-business companies, agro industries and government agriculture departments, extension service, financial sector with focus on agriculture, micro-finance institutions, fertilizer companies, agri-biotech organisations, commercial farming players etc.Teaching is another option after MSc Agriculture and PhD. Agriculture professionals have a major role in empowering our farmers about the ways to increase cultivation and yield,need for using only organic pesticides and manure,ways to market agricultural products to increase their profit and prevent exploitation by middlemen etc. This in turn will improve our income from Agriculture and our nation’s economy.
