                    Aeronautical Engineering  is the engineering domain which deals with technical aspects as well as mechanisms behind flying objects like airplanes, space shuttles, jumbo jets,helicopters etc. This field deals with the development of new technology in the field of aviation, space exploration and defence systems. It specializes in the designing, construction, development, testing, operation and maintenance of both commercial and military aircraft, spacecrafts and their components as well as satellites and missiles. This field of engineering is technically demanding and challenging.If you have mathematical aptitude, a creative,dedicated and analytical mind,willngness to take up challenges and is physically fit aeronautical engineering is the best for you. Aeronautical engineers utilize their technical know-how in designing high end vehicles for automobile industry, locomotives , swift water transportations etc.Aeronautical engineers can find jobs in airlines, aircraft manufacturing units, air turbine production plants or design development programmes for the aviation industry. Employment opportunities are there in Air India, Helicopter Corporation of India , flying clubs, private airlines and government owned air service. Besides airlines, aeronautical engineers get employment in organisations such as Hindustan Aeronautical Ltd, Defence Research and Development Laboratories, National Aeronautical Lab, Aeronautical Development Establishment, Civil Aviation Department etc. You can also enter teaching field after doing M.Tech. Those who have interest in research activities can do Ph.D as well.
