Electrical and Electronics

Electrical Engineering is a core evergreen branch that deals with the field associated with power transmission and motor control. It involves the generation, storage and use of power. It comprises of the study about transmission and generation of electrical power, electrical circuit design, electronics, instrumentation and control systems, electronic devices and circuits etc. If you have got logical and analytical skills and ability to keep learning and adaptability to changing technology Electrical and Electronics Engineering is the best branch for you.Electrical engineers design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacture of electrical equipment. Electrical engineers also design the electrical systems of automobiles and aircraft .The major difference between electrical engineering and electronics engineering is that, electrical engineers focus on the generation and supply of power, whereas electronics engineers work on applications of electricity to control systems or signal processing. Electronics plays an important role in the implementation and control of Electrical Machines. Thus the course has transformed from core electrical Engineering into a fusion of Electronics and Electrical and has been renamed as Electrical and Electronics engineering or  EEE. You can do M.Tech in Electrical Engineering course with  specialisations such as Power Electronics and Drives, Power Systems, Electrical Machines, Control and Instrumentation, Applied Electronics, Embedded Systems, VLSI Design, Nanotechnology , Nano-medical Sciences, Remote Sensing and Geo-Informatics Systems, Clinical Engineering, and so on.. Electrical Engineers are needed in all manufacturing units. All major companies of public and private sector such as Electricity Boards, Large Scale Industries, Manufacturing Plants, Power Corporations, Hydro-Electricity sector recruit Electrical Engineers for their projects. Electrical Engineers have lucrative job options in Design Industries, Production plants, Natural gas plants, Petroleum as well as in steel and chemical plants.Educational and Research Institutions also recruit electrical engineers as graduate Engineer trainees for their research projects. Electrical Engineers can also get a job in Public Sector companies like Indian Railways, Armed forces and  in Thermal and Nuclear power Corporation Limited after clearing their tests.Teaching after M.Tech is also a good career option. Those who have interest in research activities can do Ph.D as well.
