                ACE college of Engineering has a well-equipped Electronic Circuits, Devices and Digital lab in second year as per Kerala University norms. The management has provided high quality equipment’s like CRO’s, function generators, power supplies, Digital trainer kits which help the students to get a greater exposure in the field of circuit design that helps them to meet the industrial standards. Mechanical Engineering branch

      ACE College has a well-equipped mechanical lab with 20 Lathes, 10 Shapers, 1 Planner and one Slotter. It has an all geared 6 feet Lathe machines which is much superior to university requirements to meet the industrial standards. The students are given training in all machines by experienced trainers. The fourth semester aeronautical students along with fifth semester Mechanical students are also using the lab as per kerala University requirements. The college is providing individual machines for each student to make them thorough with the concepts and gain confidence in their practicals. The college a has well equipped CAD lab with 30Macbook PC. The college authorities have also obtained  30 authorised license for catia and Ansys software. Training in these software are  given by authorised Deso equipped trainer. The students are given original DESO systems certification. The optional provision of Direct Deso certification can be done by the students with an extra 150 usd. The college is giving direct industry projects for training. After the course the students will be given internship in EDS. The students trained in modelling software catia will be much competent in aerodynamic modelling as well as in automobile modelling.  The students are trained thoroughly so that mechanical students  perform well in the job market  with the training provided by industry oriented curriculum. The college looks beyond the university requirements. Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.)

Veterinary Course

Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (BVSc. & AH)

                                Medical Science that deals with the treatment of diseases and care for animals and birds are called Veterinary Science. Those who take this degree and practice are called as veterinary doctors. Veterinary science also involves the handling of scientific breeding of livestock.Bachelor of veterinary science and animal husbandry (B.V.Sc. and AH) is a five-year  undergraduate level course. After completing the course and internship, students become eligible to become veterinary doctors.Their study areas include animal husbandry, animal breeding, animal research to control the spread of diseases, wildlife conservation, poultry management and health care, livestock management and so on.       KEAM, short  form of Kerala Engineering Agricultural Medical is an entrance examination  for admissions to various professional degree courses in the state of Kerala, India. KEAM entrance examination is conducted for admission to B Tech Degree course, Architecture, Medical courses, Agriculture,Veterinary  ,Fisheries couses etc. The Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India have notified that the Central Board of Secondary Education shall be the organization to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for admission to MBBS and BDS Courses.The responsibility of the CBSE is limited to the conduct of the entrance examination, declaration of result and providing merit list to the Counselling Authorities.NEET is the exam at National level where as KEAM is the exam at state level.The result of those who have appeared for KEAM 2014 medical entrance will be published on or before 20th May 2014 as per their site information.

MBBS

The basic medical qualification for becoming a Doctor in English Medicine or Allopathy  is MBBS. It is suitable for those who are interested in Science and wish to cure sick people using English medicines and doing surgery for those needed.The MBBS course is four-and-a-half years, followed by one year of Compulsory Rotating Residential Internship (CRRI). The MBBS course is followed by MS, a post-graduation course in surgical specialities, MS or MD and DNB (Highly qualified P.G. and Super specilization), which are postgraduate courses in medical specialities usually of three years duration. After MBBS, post graduate level studies (MD or MS) can be conducted and there are many specializations including General Medicine, General Surgery, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat), Psychiatry, and Anesthesiology.The job prospects of qualified doctors are tremendous.They can work in hospitals as well as do private practice.

Graduation courses in Pharmacy


           Pharmacy deals with all aspects of medicine.It involves  preparation, mixing,manufacturing etc of various medicines, tablets, ointments,various pharmaceutical products etc.These medicines are given with the prescription of a registered medical practitioner. 
           B Pharm and Pharm .D(Doctor of Pharmacy) are the graduation courses in pharmacy.The duration of B Pharm is 4 years and that of Pharm D is 6 years. A degree in Pharmacy is the basic prerequisite for registration to practice as a pharmacist in many countries.After the completion of the pharmacy studies, one can find employment in various hospital pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, etc. or they can run their own pharmacy shops. . They can also work as medical representatives.Those who are interested in teaching can pursue it after higher studies. The pharmacists can work both in central government, state government departments and in private industries. The government departments include Health protection branch, Pest control division of Agriculture, Provincial Departments of Environment or agriculture, etc. There are also opportunities in  the food and cosmetic industries .

                     Pharm.D is a Doctor degree, which  offer students with an  in-depth study on clinical pharmacy. You can  prefix Dr to your name after completing Pharm D course for practicing in Pharmacy. Students who wish to make a career working as pharmacist in large hospitals and healthcare industries in the India or  abroad can n pursue Pharm D.
                    B. Pharm on the other hand is research oriented  that involves drug discovery, quality control, quality assurance etc.If you are interested in researching new drugs and therapies, while working for drugs, pharma and biotech industries, is what you are looking for, then choose B.Pharm followed by the masters degree, M.Pharm.

Cardio Vascular Technology (BCVT)

               Heart has a vital role in the human body. Thus cardio vascular health is very essential for the proper functioning of our body. Any variation to the normal working of our body should be immediately referred to a Cardiologist. A Cardio vascular technologist assists a Cardiologist in various treatments in heart. The cardiovascular technologists hold an important role in the diagnostic and interventional procedures in cardiology. A cardio vascular technologist prepares heart patients for invasive heart procedures like cardiac catheterization and Non invasive cardiologic procedures that is , medical treatments which do not involve the insertion of medical instrumentation into a patient’s body like  echocardiography, which involves the use of ultrasound technologies to detect and monitor a patient’s cardiovascular condition.            Physiotherapy is done to recover  the body to its normal state  after  a physical ailment and treatments like surgery,fracture etc.It involves a number of physical treatments from massage to specialized applications.Today,because of the sedentary life style of people,many people get physical ailments like spondilitis,frozen-shoulders,osteoarthritis,back-pain etc.For these ailments along with medication physiotherapy is essential for recovery.Physiotherapy is also prescribed by doctors after certain surgeries like knee replacement surgery,surgery after major accidents etc to increase the mobility of the affected body part and to recover as early as possible.
Physiotherapists have got ample job opportunities in hospitals,  Fitness centers or Health clubs,  special schools,Community health Centers ,Sports centers etc.After doing Masters and PhD physiotherapists can opt teaching as a good career too.They have good career prospects in India as well as abroad.

Optometry

         Optometry as the name indicates deals with eyes and its related structures.It deals with the diagnosis of problems of eyes and its treatment,refractive errors and their correction,using lenses and other aids.Optometrists are health professionals who have specialized in eye care .They deal with eye testing and providing solutions to patients who suffer from partial sight, hereditary vision defects, squint, weakening of eye muscles etc. They suggest the use of proper vision aids such as spectacles or contact lenses. They also provide pre-operative and post-operative care to cataract patients. However, optometrists are not ophthalmologists, the latter being physicians trained to even undertake eye surgeries, when necessary.Optometry course has got great job opportunities in India and abroad.They can find placement in government as well as private hospitals assisting eye doctors.Or they can do masters degree and take PhD and go for teaching jobs in medical colleges.They can start their own optic shops,manufacturing units or join multinational companies manufacturing eye care related products.
