Biology Related Courses

Biology

               Studying Biology helps us to understand more about nature and its  various life forms ,how they evolve, how they live and interact with each other, the various natural resources and its conservation ,the various diseases and how they affect plants ,animals ,birds,human beings etc.The most interesting career that biologists choose is in Research.In research,the biologists study the natural world, using the latest scientific tools and techniques in both laboratory settings and the natural environment to explore the secrets of nature. Another career is in Environmental management and conservation. Biologists in management and conservation careers are interested in solving environmental problems and conserving the natural world for future generations.They can also work in  Science museums, zoos, aquariums, parks, and nature centers as educators by  designing exhibits and educational programs.Another career option is teaching in schools and colleges.
The various biology related bachelors courses are Botany,Zoology,Biotechnology,Microbiology,Environment and Water management.

Botany: Botany involves the scientific study of plants. jobs available for these botany graduates in private sector are Park Ranger ,Her barium Keeper ,Curator,  Plant Biochemist etc .Apart for these there are a lot of opportunities in pubic sector as well.

Zoology is the branch of science which deals with the study of animal kingdom including the evolution, structure, classification, embryology, habits and distribution of all the animals.Different job positions available for graduates after B.Sc Zoology, Animal and Wildlife Educators, Zoo keeper, Animal rehabilitator, Documentary Maker, Researcher, Animal Behaviorists, Conservationist, Animal Trainers, Animal breeders etc

Microbiology

Microbiology is the study of microorganisms - bacteria, protozoa, parasites, viruses and fungi. These organisms can only be seen under the microscope.There are a lot of career options in private and public sector like Medical Microbiologists, Agricultural Microbiologists, Industrial Microbiologists, Marine Microbiologists, Development laboratories, Hospitals, Pharmaceutical Sector, Food Industry, Beverage Units, Chemical Industries etc

Environment and water management-

There are many job opportunities  for B.Sc Environment and Water Management graduates in government and private sector. Some of the jobs available in this field are Environment Journalist,Lecturer,Research Assistant,Research Fellow etc.They can apply for the jobs in Government organizations like Pollution Control Board, Urban Planning and Water Authority. Several private organizations recruit them. Some of those organizations are Refineries, Fertilizer Plants, Waste Treatment Industries, Distilleries and Food processing industries. 

Biotechnology: Biotechnology is the use of biological processes, organisms, or systems to manufacture products intended to improve the quality of human life. Biologists apply scientific principles to develop and enhance products, tools, and technological advances in fields such as agriculture, food science, and medicine. Scientists in this field may work in genetic engineering, pharmaceutical development, or medical technologies or as a lab technician or technologist.
