Perfusion Technology is a bio science course which involves the study of pathology, physiology and equipment used in supporting the functioning of  heart and lungs during medical treatment. The Perfusion technologist have to operate the heart-lung machine as per the advice of the doctors treating the patient. A Perfusion technologist  is a health professional who operates the heart-lung machine during cardiac surgery and other surgeries that require cardiopulmonary bypass. His main duty is to support the physiological and metabolic needs of the cardiac surgical patient when the patient’s heart malfunctions.A perfusion technologists has good opportunities in  health care services and  multi-speciality hospitals.

Medical Lab Technology(MLT)

Now medical field has developed a lot.New diseases are diagnosed each day and also the medicine for curing the disease is also found out with much effort. The number of hospitals are increasing day by day,so also the number of  patients .Diagnosing the right disease at the right time is the most crucial thing. This is where the role of a Medical lab technologist is relevant. The main job of a Medical Lab Technician is to perform diagnostic tests on samples of tissue, stool, urine, blood and other body fluids. And diagnose the element which is abnormal. With the help of this report, the doctor finds out the ailment of the patient and starts medicine to cure the disease. The routine work of Medical Lab Technologists includes monitoring  tests on patients, Matching  blood types for transfusion, finding out  drug levels in the patient’s blood preparing samples of body fluids for analysis, operating  laboratory equipment to discover disease causing microorganisms. They specialize in various allied fields like Immunology, Virology, Chemical Pathology, Microbiology,Histology,Cyto genetics,Embryology,Mortuary,Molecular Pathology,Hematology etc.

Bachelor of Science-Chemistry

                                           Chemistry

Chemistry is the branch of Science that deals with the study of a range of matters such as atoms, crystals, molecules and many other collections of matters whether they are in isolation or in combination. It also involves the concepts of energy and entropy that are related to various chemical processes. Professionals working in this field are called chemists. They study the various compositions of matters and its concerned properties like density, size, shape and acidity.

Job Prospects:-
The chemicals are used in almost every field like medicines, food products, and electronics and even in construction activities. This creates many opportunities for the chemistry graduates in diverse fields. The industries, specially chemical and pharmaceutical, the universities and government laboratories are the three major employers who recruit Chemistry graduates. The entry level jobs in this field usually require at least the bachelor’s degree in chemistry, but majority of the jobs like research needs candidates with PhD in the same. The chemical industries are also doing well in India and there is huge demand for chemists for various positions. The employment areas for the B.Sc Chemistry graduates include pharmaceutical industries, chemical manufacturers, Forensic Science Department, plastic industries, agrochemical industries, etc. Apart from these, they are also recruited in other fields such as oil, gas and power sectors and even in defence services. Chemists gets placed in various industries like Pharmaceuticals, Plastics, Pulp and Paper, Petroleum, Fine and Heavy Chemical Manufacturing, Food and Beverage Production, Mining and Metallurgy etc.
You can do graduation in various specialized areas in Chemistry like Polymer Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Bio Chemistry etc.

Polymer chemistry is the branch of Chemistry that deals with the study and manipulation of synthetic and organic chemical substances known as polymers. Polymers have various properties like flexibility, durability, hardness etc.
Polymer Chemists deal with the nature, structure, and applications for polymers, e.g. plastics, synthetic materials, soaps and cleansers, and other chemical products. They can work in pharmaceutical and medicine manufacturing and in professional, scientific, and technical services firms.
Biochemistry is  the study of chemical processes that take place in living organisms. Biochemists can pursue stem cell or genetic research that has the potential to result in dramatic medical or scientific breakthroughs. Some biochemists study the body’s immune response to germs and allergens or the effectiveness of drugs in treating a wide array of afflictions. Other biochemists work in the commercial food or agricultural field looking for ways to improve products and crops.
Industrial Chemistry is the link between the research and industrial-scale chemical engineering. Industrial chemists make use of their broad understanding of chemistry and environmental sustainability in areas like pharmaceutical companies, polymer manufacturing, petrochemical processing, food science, and manufacturing industries. Industrial chemists connect science and production. Industrial chemistry is part of the long chain in the design and manufacturing process. Industrial chemists deal with the ideas, the design, the testing, and prototyping of new industrial products. In order to design something entirely new to help solve the major problems of the world their essential skills are, in-depth knowledge and application of chemistry and creativity with chemicals. The industrial chemist precedes the chemical engineer in the process of bringing something to market.
